Duplicate a WordPress page
Step 1: Install a Duplicating Plugin for Pages
- In this tutorial, we are going to see how to log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
- Go to Plugins > Add New.
- Look for a plugin similar to “(Yoast) Duplicate Post” or “Duplicate Page”.
- Then click Install Now and finally Activate the plugin.
Step 2: Optional — Configure the Plugin Settings
- Navigate to the plugin settings at Settings > Duplicate Page (or within the configured section of the respective plugin).
- Set preferences such as:– Status of the Post (draft, published, etc.).
- Redirect after duplication
- Types of posts to enable duplication (pages, posts, etc.).
- Save the settings.
Step 3: Create a Copy of the Page
- Go to Pages > All Pages (or Posts > All Posts depending on what you are after).
- Find the page you wish to duplicate and hover over it.
- Click the Duplicate option (e.g. “Clone,” “Duplicate,” or “Copy” depending on the plugin).
- You will now see a duplicate in your list that is usually labeled as a draft.
Step 4 — Update the Copied Page
- In the duplicated page click Edit
- Your new blog post topic: Make sure to edit the contents, title and relevant information.
- Include essential keywords, images, and proper formatting for SEO purposes.
Step 5: Publish the Blog
- When the content is prepared, click Publish.
- Congratulations blog, you are now live on your [WORDPRESS] site!
Additional Tips
- SEO: Yoast SEO and Rank Math are good SEO plugins.– images: use unique and optimized images for quicker loading
- Tags and Categories: Apply tags and categories where necessary for organization.
- Permalink: Change the permalink to match the new content.
